From Margaret:  Dave and I would like to thank everyone for a most fantastic evening. Superb playing by both groups and a fabulous nostalgia trip for us and the many friends of NSW. Horovitz, Woolfenden, Hinton, Billing and many others sent you their best wishes for many more successful years. Everyone plays an important part in this organisation and that's what makes it the success that it is today. We are both so proud to be a part of it.  Thank you all for the wonderful gifts, we will always treasure them.

Now is the time to decide if you are going on the tour.  You must confirm by next week!

Thanks to everyone for participating in the elections yesterday, it's a new process for us so now we've done it once should be straightforward next time.  To confirm the outcome of the elections:
  • NSW Chair - Nicola Pennill
  • NSW Secretary - Margaret Frogson
  • NSW Treasurer - David Wesker
  • NSWO representative - Trevor Vivien
  • NWE representative - Elisabeth Pywell

The new committee will meet shortly but in the meantime if you want to know what everyone will be doing you can look at the role descriptions here.

Commiserations to those people who stood but weren't successful. A special mention should of course go to Bill who has done the treasurer role so ably for so long - naturally he will be thanked 'officially' in due course for all his years of service and his contribution in making sure NSW is financially viable.

14th September

Sunday 16th is first rehearsal and includes election of new committee.  The process will be explained on the day, but all current members will be entitled to vote for the following positions where more than one nomination has been received:
  • NSW Chair
  • NSW Secretary
  • NSW Treasurer
  • NSWO representative
  • NWE representative

Full details of the roles and descriptions are available here (click to download)
