In case you missed the awards because you were a) too drunk b) not there c) sick with nervous apprehension at the prospect of your 'turn', here they are...

Well done/commiserations (delete as applicable) to all winners!

These were the “Didn’t quite make it – Awards”

David Machell

Cunning Linguist – fluent in all but his on language as demonstrated at the final concert

Zoe

For her successful poolside romance with Alex (who we believe was 5 years old)

Trevor

For the best use of the word “Marvellous”

Dave Joyce

For his excellent tunnel “Humming” and hotel “Popping”

Laura McGinty

For her tardis-like Mary Poppins handbag

Dave Oldershaw

Huw and Adrian

Surely these two were separated at birth

Chris Davenport

For his boy scout like assessment of which direction the sun would rise over Lake Garda. He stayed up all night to see the sun rise – I believe the phrase “moss grows on the Northern Slopes so it must be that way” was used, but unfortunately ended up with his back to it and missed the whole thing.

Alison Bailey’s Bra

For best supporting act

Howard

For being asleep at the end of Les Mis at the final concert – unfortunately came too late to make into the final awards.

The final award was an extremely highly contested category.

We had numerous nominations for the best interaction with an inflatable award. Here are just a couple of the worthy competitors:

  • Keiron – for spending about 40 mins per day trying to mount a lilo
  • Jezz – had numerous attempts at getting onto the green inflatable lilo seat

But surely only one man was big enough to carry of this award. He was a one-man tsunami. His ability to leap gracefully from poolside on to any size/shape inflatable was truly awe-inspiring.
