  1. Hi again!

I took some video footage of tour and I'm sure others have footage of their own. I'd very much like to make a DVD of the tour so if anyone has any video they'd be prepared to share please let me know. I've been recording onto mini-DV so that would be my preferred format but I'm sure I can use most popular files types.

If you are interested let me know, or leave a comment here so that I can sort things out.

    Ta,

    Mike P

  2. Hi everyone,

I thoroughly enjoyed tour too and I'm looking forward to the next one. Thanks to all those involved in the organisation for a brilliant job and thanks to everyone who went on tour for making it such fun.

  3. Oh Mike!! Don't say that!!

Think what you'd be missing out on!!! And what would we do without a Tuba!!!

  4. I\'m not going on another tour - it\'s all too depressing when it\'s over! ;)

  5. Great tour, enjoyed all of it especialy as it was so well organised. Good choice of music, but I was glad of the extra rehearsals before we went. Shame about the rain but hey, could be UK in summer!
My only suggestion would be to bring the 1st concert forward, there seemed to a long gap before we did anything musical.
Thanks to Margret and the organising team
    Cheers to all.

  7. Thank you all for making us welcome on the 12th band tour. Special thanks to Margaret for organising it and Keiron for bringing together such a professional sounding group.
It was the best tour hotel we have been in and such a wonderful location.

  9. Disney... Orlando/Florida?! Yippeee!!! Great place! It gets my vote...

Seriously, if there is a small group of people who fancy a week holiday in Orlando then I have a friend who has a couple of villas there and I can get good rates!

  10. Well I'm up for anything!!! What about a proper band camp!!! Tents and everything. We could do that every non tour year as a cheap option! As long it's a 5* camp site!!! Or sky diving or going on a cruise!!! Also I want to go on tour to disneyworld in Florida!!!

Bring on recording a cd! I want to do East Coast pictures!!!!

  11. Just think Luce, if we did a slightly longer residential workshop for about 5 days, we'd get so much out of it. The Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester is a good place to do one of those. Used to go there with the warwickshire county youth orchestra for workshops in the summer. Might be better places around though and might be cheaper to go on tour if getting in top tutors etc. CD would be fab Alison, could record Samurai he he :-) Workshop, CD, Tour, what else could we do? Any other suggestions?

  13. we did the workshop thing last year (which was fab) and you went on holiday instead..... don't pretend it's your idea! Hopefully we'll get another one.... hint hint Lx

  14. Dancing Chris, I think that's a great idea. I think we should definately do something on the years between tour. It's too long to wait!

I think a long weekend away to do a workshop or make a cd or go to the Edinburgh festival would be great! I'm sure a lot of people would be up for it and it would also include the other people who can't come on tour!

  15. Hi all,
Tour was indeed fantastic -although it seems so long ago already. Thanks obviously to Margaret, Keiron, Penny and Keith (hope they've got over the coach passing them on the Munich ring road!!), Marmots in general, Cat Girl, and everyone. I agree with all the best moments although I also had the added bonus of it all happening in my second home! Dave and I will be back there in February for the snowy season in Going/Scheffau but it will seem a little strange now without you guys.
    Thanks for the memories

  17. My face still hurts from laughing so much! Ha ha! Tour was totally wonderful so ta muchly to all involved. favourite funny moments... Dave and Chris dancing in the rain; all of us dancing like lunatics in the rain; the taupaulin in the rain; the ricketiest cable car In The World; laura s playing volleyball; Mozart; the look on Margaret\'s face when she saw the photos of the hardcore adventure Gill and I went on; the boob photo; the beer and the wine..... and other stuff!!! How goergeous is Austria?! I thought the location was wonderful. Really enjoyed the concerts too so all in all a highly successful trip. Yay for NSWO. Can\'t wait for slide night.... Luce X

  18. The tour was fabulous, having the longer Sunday rehearsals seemed to be effective in getting the group to gel together and were more effective musically than the evening rehearsals of previous tours, due to general tiredness.

What impressed me most on the tour was the general good feeling and camaraderie within the group, especially with 'the storm' at Going.

Two years is a long time between tours and i appreciate the reasons for this as there is an enormous amount of work put in to organising the tour and they are getting more expensive. A suggestion i would like to put forward is that on none tour years could we look at alternatives such as performing at the Edinburgh Festival which would raise the profile of the group, or organising a residential course. Just suggestions, what do you think?

  19. What a fantastic tour! Really enjoyed spending time and playing with so many lovely people. Favourite tour moments have to be the tarpaulin team-building exercise and Chris and Dave's dancing in the rain. Anyone got any others???

  20. I\'d just like to say Thankyou to everyone invlolved in organising this tour. I had a brilliant time and I\'m sure everyone else did too.

Margaret, the accomodation was lovely and the location was great. I think the best yet! Good choice!

Keiron, I think you did an amazing job in getting the best out of the group. Thanks for your commitment and motivation (and cues!)

I\'m really sad it\'s all over but am already looking forward to the next one!!!
