NSW Win National Lottery Funding (June 27, 2007)

To mark their 20 year anniversary, Nottingham Symphonic Winds have been awarded a National Lottery grant to support their music making in the community. As well as supporting a player workshop, the funds will also support a community play day in 2008, which will enable the group to share some of its experience and musical resources with players in the region.
Player and co-founder David Oldershaw is delighted with this development.
"We are very fortunate to have the additional financial support to enable us to pursue some exciting musical projects. Not only will we be able to introduce our players to some exciting new repertoire, but also share our experience with a wider network of musicians."
