27th January 2008, 9.30 am – 6.30 pm
Bluecoat School, Aspley Lane, Nottingham
Thanks to support from Awards for All, Windblowers, Yamaha, Buffet and Trevor James, local wind orchestra Nottingham Symphonic Winds will be opening its doors to players from the local community on Sunday 27th January 2008.
As well as providing an opportunity to play in a full wind orchestra with forces of up to 130 strong, with all the resources of Nottingham Symphonic Winds at their disposal, musicians will get the benefit of specialist coaching from some of the finest tutors in the country. Conductor Keiron Anderson is looking forward to the event. "This should be a really good day - a full team of top class tutors and the actual wind orchestra will produce an excellent experience for wind players. It is aimed at local musicians but I imagine it will attract players from all over the UK."
