NSWO NewsNottingham Symphonic Winds head for Italy (July 10, 2006)
The combined groups of Nottingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra and Nottingham Wind Ensemble are about to embark on their eleventh overseas tour.
Previously the group has visited France, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Majorca, Holland and Ireland - and this time will be travelling to Lake Garda in Italy.
A week of concerts in the area, including participation in a major music festival, will provide a great culmination to a busy season of concerts for both groups. Members are hoping there may also be time for some sight-seeing and for sampling the local wine!
Nottingham Symphonic Winds tour the Lake Garda area of Italy from 23rd -31st July 2006, with concerts in Torbole, Arco, Garda and San Felice del Benaco.
